Easter Candy - Peanut Butter Cups, Almond Joy Cups and more
by Laura Villanti on April 4th, 2012

Who knew that you could have some amazing treats like this while following the GAPS dietary protocol?

Today, my neighbor and I made some Easter candy together.  This is a great treat for any time of the year.... not just Easter.

We made three kinds.... a traditional Peanut Butter Cup like the Reese's cups that everyone loves.  We also made an Almond Coconut cup like Almond Joy's.  And, the final one was a Mint Chocolate cup.

We used 100% pure, organic cacao for the chocolate base.  Pure cacao is allowed in the advanced stages of the GAPS dietary protocol.    See recipes below.

Coconut Almond Cups

Coconut Almond Cups - These are delicious too!  They taste like an Almond Joy.

You can use 4 ounces of pure cacao bar instead of the cocoa powder.  Also, I omitted the coffee liqueur.
